Description
A beam splitter cube is two right-angle prisms cemented together at the hypotenuse, which together form a cube. There are two different main versions of beam splitter cubes. Polarizing and non-polarizing. With polarizing beam splitter cubes, the light is split into its two directions of oscillation: S and P. S stands for the direction of oscillation perpendicular to the hypotenuse and P for the parallel. With non-polarizing beam splitter cubes, the light is split into two specified components, such as certain areas of the optical spectrum. Depending on the application, different coatings are used to create the required effect and guarantee the desired accuracy. For the production we have the possibility to offer you a variety of different materials according to your ideas. Optical glasses from Schott, O'Hara or CDGM are frequently used, but we are also familiar with materials such as sapphire glass or quartz glass for more specialized products.
